7 Quick Takes: Volume 66

7 quick takes sm1 7 Quick Takes about rattlesnakes, books, and holidays that should be more fun than they are

We recently met up with my parents at the State Fair one weekend, which was so much fun!  I can't wait until we can take our little boy along! :)

I went with the easy and cliche pregnant costume for our Halloween party at fieldwork Wednesday night!  I couldn't bring Thomas because it was a party for the individuals, but I brought one of the sweet old ladies from the exercise group as my date!  She had a really good time which made it so much fun for me too!

Our Halloween plans consisted of taking a walk and then snuggling up to watch a movie with hot chocolate and popcorn. I even finagled a back rub and foot rub from that sweet husband of mine! I'm so thankful for his sweet, loving self throughout this pregnancy, especially through this last, more uncomfortable bit!

This chili recipe is delicious!  Never thought of using cocoa powder!

One of my beautiful friends asked me to take her engagement pictures, and I had so much fun getting to practice using my camera in manual mode...and my husband was thankful not to be the subject of all my picture taking for once! ;)  Aren't they adorable together?! I love love!

Life has been non-stop busy and every weekend in October was packed!  I am thankful that this is the first of several weekends of relaxation at home.  All I have planned is mass tonight and baking with one of my friends tomorrow!

Things are winding down in general. I only have ONE more week of fieldwork left, which is so exciting!  It's really not even a full week because I'll be taking off Tuesday since I have a lot of overtime hours, and they said they'll let me leave after taking me out to lunch on Friday!  I have absolutely loved my experience there and will be sad to leave (especially to leave all the individuals on my caseload), but also so grateful to rest for the last few weeks of growing this baby!
