Two Years of Marriage

I cannot believe it was two years ago (yesterday) that we stood before God to join as man and wife.
There was so much joy in our hearts as we promised to love one another faithfully, fully, and forever.
The joy of that day has only increased, as God has been so generous to us and our marriage over these past two years. My love for Thomas has continued to grow and grow, and just when i thought I couldn't love him anymore, my heart pretty much doubled with love when we found out I was pregnant!  I can't even begin to describe what it's like to experience his excitement and love for me and this child!

We had a sweet and simple anniversary celebration yesterday, and we're going to celebrate more with a camping weekend once I get done with this fieldwork rotation!

We exchanged gifts as soon as we woke up in the morning because we're overeager like that.  Thomas is seriously the BEST gift giver in the world!  He always amazes me with his thoughtful and creative gifts!   This year he made a collage of his favorite things over the past two years with a key to go with it! :)

We were trying to go with the cotton theme, but Thomas realized halfway through that his didn't have anything to do with cotton haha!  He said it doesn't matter because when the inspiration strikes, you just have to go with it! ;)

I made him a DIY photo canvas, but can't share a picture because it has our last name on it!  Basically, I edited a wedding photo in Pic Monkey with "Mr and Mrs ______", our wedding date, and Matthew 19:6, then I followed a tutorial from Pinterest.   And got him some cotton candy, since it is the cotton anniversary, after all. ;)

Thanks to my grandma we went out for dinner.   It was so special having a nice date night and to spend time reflecting on the joys we've experienced over the past two years.

We ordered a dessert to go and went to one of our favorite spots - the pond (duh) - to eat together and spend more time chatting with one another.

We finished off the night at home by playing some Yahtzee and looking through our wedding album together.  I love that our time was spent doing what we love doing together on a regular basis - games and time outside!

I am so, so grateful for these past two years, and something tells me that with this precious baby boy on the way, year three is about to be the best one yet!  I can't wait to see how our marriage grows as we transition to becoming parents together.   I couldn't ask for a better man to be starting a family with!  I love you Thomas!

  10. If one individual find singles recognizes a process that needs to be done, and he/she is able of doing such a process and has the time to do it, why delay for the other individual to execute this task?
