7 Quick Takes Friday: Volume 56

7 quick takes sm1 7 Quick Takes Friday (vol. 212)

I had such a great time visiting my family last weekend!! My mom, grandma, sister, and I had a girl's day!  We went shopping for maternity clothes and went out for lunch together!

We also went shopping at the quilt store to pick out some fabric.  My mom is soooo talented, and she is going to make Thomas and I a quilt for our bed!  It's going to be beautiful!

We also celebrated my cousin's high school graduation party last weekend!

One of my best friends from college spent the night one day this week because she had a conference in town!  I haven't seen her since before Christmas, so it was really good to see her!

We were able to get together for dinner with some of my friends from school who are in the area for their rotation, and it was so good seeing them!   I hate not getting to see everyone all the time now that we're out on fieldwork.

This potato soup is an absolute must make! Thomas and I both LOVED it!

I am looking forward to a very relaxing weekend!  I am headed to the beach with Thomas and my parents!

Baby happenings to come with the next bumpdate! :)

  7. Oh I love the colors in the fabrics you chose. It's going to make a beautiful quilt. And with a talented mom you've got to get her sewing/quilting for your baby. :) Congratulations... hope you're feeling well. Have a lovely weekend at the beach Caitlin. ~tara

PS... I started reading your blog... you and your husband remind me soooo much of my husband Scott and I way back in 1996. It's a happy blog to read!

  8. I am making the soup as we...speak? write? Anyhow, I'm making it right now. Thanks for inspiring dinner.

  9. Sounds like you've had a busy time recently, but good busy! Hopefully someday soon you can be writing something like, "I met my blogger friend, Mandi..."
