It's so hard to believe she is done with college! I seriously feel like I just graduated!
The graduation was - well, your typical graduation, but I was really surprised to hear so many references to God at a public school. There was a reading by Mother Teresa and the commencement speaker made many references to her faith. A refreshing change from the do not talk about God (ever) mindset.
After Hannah's graduation, we ate together at a little Italian restaurant to celebrate! We also went to look at the cooking store she has worked at throughout college before heading home.
We spent the evening at home relaxing, loving on the dog, watching a movie. My mom and grandma did what moms and grandmas do best - they pulled out all kinds of goodies for ice cream sundaes!
I didn't really take any picture Sunday, but we were only at my parent's house in the morning. We cooked a big breakfast and celebrated my mom and my grandma. My parents went to a musical in the afternoon, and my grandma went to my cousin's house, so Thomas and I hit the road to head home.
Anyways, I seriously don't know what I'd do without my mom! She should get an award for putting up with all of my stressed out phone calls and for always reassuring me that things will work out. For cooking ridiculous amounts of food and always sending us home with enough to eat dinner for the week! For putting so much love into our family and for always, always, always putting us first. I know she'd do anything for me! Love you so much mom! :)
My mom turned my room into her craft/sewing room when I moved out, so for her Mother's Day present we got her some decorations for the wall above her desk! I did the planning and Thomas and my dad put it all up. :)
Update: As for my fieldwork this summer, I thankfully have a new placement! The pediatric one at the hospital didn't work out, but they found me a spot at another hospital. My supervising OT works in acute, inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing at the hospital, so I'm really going to get to see a little bit of everything! While I'm disappointed that I won't have a three month pediatric placement, I think this is going to be a great learning experience since I'll get to see so many areas of OT and so many different diagnoses. You never know what God has in store either - maybe I'll end up loving something there and decide I don't want to work in pediatrics!
I am also just glad that I have a placement nearby so I don't have to live away from Thomas for three months! Such a relief. I'm so thankful for God working everything out for us. Thank you for your prayers!
