7 Quick Takes: Volume 38

For more quick takes, visit Jen

-1-
I don't really have too much going on - just getting back into the swing of things with school!

-2-
Ever seen what a dog does when they've had a bad day?  Thomas showed me this yesterday and it made me smile!

-3-

I just posted my family's recipe for chocolate peanut butter balls...you have to try them!

-4-
At morning mass yesterday, my priest talked about how there are things in our life that aren't bad in and of themselves, but the Devil can always use them to distract us (internet, sports, etc.), so we have to be on guard.  He talked about how important it is to spend quiet time with God every day so that we get our minds focused and don't let hobbies take over as the most important things in our lives.  It was a great reminder!

Since I posted on the heavy subject of euthanasia this week, here is a heartwarming story about two brothers who compete in triathlons together.  One of them has cerebral palsy, and the other brother pushes and pulls him along throughout all the events!

This should be a fun day! After working this morning, I am going to visit Kendra and baby Henry for lunch, and then I'm going to see my friends Karen and Elizabeth! :)  I can't wait!!

We are going to Thomas's parent's house this weekend to celebrate his dad's birthday!  Hope you all have an amazing weekend! :)

Love,
Caitlin

  10. I love that reminder; so important for me. I can easily turn something like the Internet into an obsession if I'm not careful.
