Snapshots from the weekend

Beautiful sky.

We walked out of a reunion with Marriage Encounter couples on Saturday to see the most gorgeous pink sky!   We went to the reunion not realizing that it was for anyone who has been on the weekend retreat in the past, but it was really amazing to not only see the friends we had made over our weekend, but also to meet new couples! I had no idea that Marriage Encounter has such a strong community.  It has been really incredible to be encouraged and supported by other couples who also believe in the sanctity of marriage, and I hope that we'll continue to stay involved! This weekend we had the chance to write goals as a couple for the next few months of our marriage, and it filled us with so much hope and excitement to plan together for our future.

Lovely flowers.
Thomas has been so self-giving throughout these past few weeks after I got injured, and I am incredibly thankful for him.  He has been doing so, so much for me, and when he went out grocery shopping by himself this weekend, he came back and surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  He makes my heart so happy. :)

Library date.

Even though I'm off from school right now, I have a ton of work to do since it's the end of the semester.  Thomas had a good amount to do for work as well, so we went off for a good old library date to get some stuff done. It's always better when you have company!

Indian feast.

We wanted to cook something special together last night, so we cooked up one of our absolute favorite meals, roasted vegetable curry and creamed Indian spinach.  It definitely hit the spot, and it was fun to cook together!

Unpictured Double Date.

Before we went to the reunion, we were able to meet up with my friend Elizabeth and her boyfriend for lunch.  It was so good to see them and catch up! They are such good friends, and we miss living near them!

  1. Looks like a wonderful weekend!! Oh-you have inspired me to make some Indian food! Our neighbors are from India and my husband is always commenting about it! Have a blessed Thanksgiving :)

  2. Looks like a wonderful weekend, Caitlin~ I love the Library Date! I remember spending hours and hours at the library at college. I loved that quite and being surrounded by books...Bliss! : )

  3. Sounds like a fun weekend. My husband LOVES Indian food.. but I don't know if I'm adventurous enough to try creamed Indian Spinach. I bet he would love it though! Have a great week.

  4. That spinach looks amazing! I love reading about all of your little dates, and yes, judging by everything I see here, Thomas is so good to you! You guys are wonderfully blessed by each other =)
