30 Things to be Thankful for

30days thanks-200pix

I am linking up with the blogs listed above to share 30 things I am thankful for! Every good and perfect gift is from above, so it is really good for me to reflect on all these wonderful blessings from God that bring so much joy to my life.

I am thankful for God's unconditional love and the fact that he sent his only son to die for me.

I am thankful for the gift of marriage and my adoring husband, who continually builds me up.

I am thankful for my loving, supportive parents who do way too much for me!

I am thankful for my brother and sister who are absolutely hilarious and so much fun to be with.

I am thankful for my in-laws, who have taken me in as a daughter.

I am thankful for being part of an amazing church community where we feel connected and encouraged to grow in our faith.

I am thankful for my dear friends from college.

I am thankful to be in school for something I absolutely love with wonderful new friends.

I am thankful for this verse that always comforts me during times of stress: "Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7)

I am thankful that God has provided for more than just our needs in our married life so far.

I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful for breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that make me stand in awe of God's creative abilities.

I am thankful for the beautiful changing leaves this fall and every fall, which also fill me with wonder and awe.

I am thankful for a camera to capture all the beauty around me.

I am thankful for food to eat and shoes on my feet!

I am thankful that Thomas works hard to provide for us while I am in school

I am thankful for blogging and the fact that I am able to connect with inspiring Christian women.

I am thankful for weekend adventures with my sweetheart!

I am thankful for laughter.

I am thankful for the encouragement from my Bible study at school and for newly forming friendships.

I am thankful for the good news about my knee.

I am thankful for the ability to see, hear, taste, smell, and touch, even more so after learning about so many different health conditions in class.

I am thankful for the ability to walk and run.  And for such fun races!

I am thankful for God's grace and forgiveness, which is overflowing in abundance.

I am thankful for our Marriage Encounter Weekend  and the blessings it has continued to bring to our marriage.

I am thankful for dessert.

I am thankful for holidays. Every one of them.

I am thankful that we are going to England for Christmas this year and for the chance to meet more of Thomas's family.

I am thankful for the little things in life that make me smile...relaxing to watch a movie after a long week, seeing an old couple holding hands, getting a good deal at the store, watching baby and puppy videos on YouTube, and the list could seriously forever continue.

I am thankful for technology, including my car, computer, and phone.

I am thankful for hope and positive thoughts about the future.

Just writing all of these out has filled me with so much joy! It's no wonder why God tells us to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).  God has blessed me with so much more than I deserve, and I hope to keep that at the forefront of my mind throughout November, Thanksgiving, and the rest of this holiday season.  There's no way to not be happy when I think about all the good things he has given me.
