7 Quick Takes: Candy Messages, Pumpkins, and England

-1-
I had fun putting together some little treats for all of Thomas's lunches this week after seeing candy messages on Pinterest! I love doing little things for him like that and he really loved the surprises!

-2-
And he did something sweet for me too by writing this blog post for the wedding bliss link up!

-3-
This recipe for cous cous stuffed peppers is the bomb.

-4-
We carved our first pumpkin this week (last year we painted one)!

-5-
And by "we" I definitely mean that Thomas carved it and I cooked the pumpkin seeds. :)  I did do a tiny little piece so I could say I contributed!

I am really excited for this weekend! There is a lot of fun ahead with some wonderful people! We are going to a Halloween party tonight with some of our friends from college.  Then we're doing a 5K in the morning with friends from my program, and then we're heading off to see my parents and their new dog!  There is much to be thankful for!

I saved the absolute BEST for last! Thomas's parents are taking us to ENGLAND for Christmas!  I'm still in shock.  We'll be staying with his grandparents and I will have the chance to meet more of his family. I am so incredibly excited, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to focus on anything until then!

Love,
Caitlin

  1. Oh I love that treat idea. I should totally do that after we get married (although he doesn't really like candy, because he's weird. So maybe I'll figure out something better to do)
I love your pumpkin! And pumpkin seeds are my favorite (and they're good for you too!)
And oh my gosh you're going to have a blast in England! I so cannot wait to see pictures when you do go! Aaah :D

  8. Hooray for pumpkin carving! Our schedule is so full that we just realized the ONLY night we'll be able to carve all 5 of ours is the night before Halloween! Oops...

I, personally am holding out for the pumpkin seeds...my favorite snack ever.

Great blog post by the hubby, and England, well that's just awesome:)

  9. That pumpkin looks great! We love to roast the seeds too. Christmas in England sounds like so much fun! Your candy notes are so sweet. Keep those things up in yourmarriage. I still do little things like that for my hysband, although not often enough I'm sure.
