7 Quick Takes Friday (Volume 18)

-1-
My mom, sister, and grandma came to visit this week! It was so, so good to see all of them!

-2-
My mom is incredibly talented! She has been working hard on quilts, and they look AMAZING!

-3-
My mom also helped me sew this skirt!  We have worked on it little by little and finally finished it!  Thank goodness for moms.  A sewing pattern is seriously a foreign language to me, and I don't know how anyone could teach themselves how to sew without the help of another person!

-4-
I made these peanut butter cupcakes for them when they came to visit.

-5-
I got several books from Goodwill and have been enjoying relaxing and reading a lot this week.  I literally spent an entire day reading because I couldn't put the book down!  I love breaks from school because I have time to read for enjoyment instead of schoolwork.  Among the ones I got are Captivating, Gone for Good, Blue Like Jazz, Eyes of a Child, and a couple's devotional Bible.

-6-
Our next couple's Bible study is Walking Toward Eternity and it starts in September.  It looks really good, and I can't wait for us to get started!

-7-
We used to have white adhesive hooks to hang keys and umbrellas by the front door, but not anymore! I found these letter hooks at Michael's on sale for $1.00 each and pulled out an L,O,V, and E! :)  Much more fun than white hooks!

I just updated this to add an 8th quick take - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my parents this week ! 26 years together! Amazing!

Look at these lovebirds...

Love,
Caitlin

It was Gone for Good...for some reason I love murder mysteries/thrillers!

  5. I LOVE that quilt!! But I also LOVE purple so it's right up my alley! I once saw a quilt that looks liked that at a farmers market type fair and they wanted about $80-$200 for it :( sadly it was out of my budget but so pretty.
