Weekend - Cookout, Graduation Party, & Father's Day

We had a really busy, but really fun weekend! Friday night we went to a cookout at my friends' house.  We had a wonderful time hanging out with everyone and getting to meet my friend's ridiculously adorable nieces.  They were definitely the life of the party that night! :)
This is the cookie cake I brought to the cookout.  It was good, but not the best I've had, so I won't post the recipe I made on here.  I had fun making it though!  It's so much quicker than making a batch of cookies!  Does anyone have a really good cookie cake recipe?

On Saturday we went to my cousin's high school graduation party.  I can't believe how old we are all getting!  It doesn't seem like long ago at all that we were all kids running around and playing.  We had a really good time eating great food, hanging out with each other, and playing cornhole and Can Jam outside.

I was particularly excited to see my beautiful little sister!  She is about 6 hours away from me right now, so I don't get to see her as often as I'd like.

On Sunday we went for a long run, went to church, and ate a huge Father's Day breakfast before heading back home.  I know everyone thinks their dad is the best, but mine really is! ;)  He is absolutely hilarious and keeps us laughing every single day.  Also, I think we hear him say about 20 times a day how much he loves his life, wife, and kids.  Gotta love that man and his love for life and our family!

I am behind on my posts on James, but I promise I'll be writing them.  I was super busy this weekend, and now I'm preparing for midterms.  I hope everyone has a great week! :)

Love,
Caitlin

    1. Thanks Whitney! I didn't like the cupcakes, but my dad, Thomas, and sister all did. They were also more sticky than regular cupcakes, but they said they thought the texture was fine.
