7 Quick Takes Friday (Volume 7)

Two semesters of grad school down! :)

I have to give a little shout out to my AMAZING husband.  With five exams over three days I was such a neglectful, hermit wife this week, as I have pretty much only been studying, eating, running, and somewhat sleeping.  He has done all the laundry, gone grocery shopping, cleaned, cooked me dinners, made my lunches, and got up early to cook me pancakes over the weekend when I got up to study early.  And he brought me Sour Patch Kids when I was in the library, which is my absolute favorite snack that gets me through anything.  He has helped me to relax and keep things in perspective, and I can't help but be in a good mood when he's acting goofy. Thanks for everything Thomas, I really could not have made it through this week without your help and your prayers! I promise I'll be more helpful around here now that exams are over. And I'll start hanging out with you again! :)

We had date money from family members from Valentine's Day and Easter, so we went out last night to try a new Indian restaurant that just opened up.  It was a great way to celebrate finishing the second semester of  graduate school, and especially wonderful to actually be able to spend time with my best friend! Kind of was missing that.

Monday made it nine months of marriage for us! I really can't believe it was that long ago, it seems like it was just yesterday.  After 9 months he is still super sweet to me, and I'm still driving him crazy by making him pose for pictures! Hehe :)

I am kind of behind on blog reading, so send me a link to any great entries you wrote this week!

I want to do something different than regular spaghetti tonight, so I'm making this gouda cheese sauce over pasta and broccoli.  Anyone ever tried something like that? Hopefully it will turn out well!

I am so looking forward to having next week off from school.  I am going home to see my family, and my grandma is coming into town so it will be really, really nice to spend time with everyone!

Have a great weekend!

  6. That sauce looks YUMMY!! My favorite pasta sauce is Vodka Sauce!! YUMMY!! The only bad thing is it really doesn't go with anything else so you end up eating 2 strange foods together.

Yay for 9 months that is 8 months longer than many celebrities!

That sounds good, I have never made a vodka sauce before! I might have to try making that!

  7. What a sweet husband you have!! I remember when I was in grad school I would go in that same hermit mode! It was always nice to come out from studying to find that my husband had cooked and cleaned for me! Congrats on making it through two semesters of grad school! You are well on your way!
