7 Quick Takes Friday (Volume 10)

-1-
It has been storming like crazy for the past few days, so we've had lots of inside date nights.  We also went for a Barnes and Noble date one night in the storm.  We sat inside on cozy chairs and read books while it was raining and hailing outside.  Free and relaxing! :)

The absolute best recipe for brownies is the one on the Nestle cocoa powder box (although I use Hershey's cocoa powder hehe!).  I haven't made brownies from a box since I started making these.  So good!  Here's the recipe.  I usually add in a bag of Hershey's milk chocolate and top them with chocolate frosting.  You can never have too much chocolate. ;)

Check out my post from this week in my book of James series about how what we say has a huge impact.  I can't believe we're half way done with the study!  We've been learning so much, and I don't want it to end!

It was our 6 year date-a-versary over the weekend, so of course we had a little celebration.  We like celebrating all the significant markers in our relationship! :)  And we got engaged two years ago.  I can't believe how fast time has flown since then.  It seems like it went by so slowly when we were waiting for the wedding, and now it's going by too quickly!

This video of a dog dancing to guitar music makes me smile! :)

I got to play with some kids with autism last night, and it made me miss camp so much!  I am really, really looking forward to my future career! :)

-7-
Class was cancelled yesterday, so now I have a 6 day weekend!  Thomas is off from work on Monday, so I am really excited to spend a lot of time with him!  We are thinking about maybe doing a day trip on Saturday.  Do you have any big Memorial Day weekend plans?

  1. Why must you torture me with such delicious looking brownies!?! :)

Aren't B&N dates the best? In fact, we might add that to our plans this weekend, which include a lot of relaxing! Enjoy your long weekend together!

  2. Those brownies look amazing. I can't believe that in Sept we'll have been engaged for a year. I hope this next year goes by fast because I can't wait to get married! I can't wait to have inside date nights :)

  3. Ooooh I need to make brownies soon.

No big plans for us this weekend, although my husband and I will probably play copious amounts of Diablo III together (yay date gaming).

  4. Well as an OT you should have plenty of opportunities to work with children with autism! That's great to be excited about your future career!

  7. Those brownies look amazing. I will have to try them; most of the time recipes not from a box don't work out for me.

    1. I hope you like them as much as I do! They're also best a little undercooked.
